Abstract

In this edition the chapter on leprosy has been rewritten to express present knowledge on the subject and the chapters on cholera and typhoid have been completely revised Recent work on poliomyelitis measles and typhus fever has been summarized so as to present briefly and concisely what has been done in the study of the bacteriology of these diseases The description of technical procedures in the field of serodiagnosis has been considerably amplified and clarified Evidences of careful revision are everywhere apparent
