Abstract
Tuberculosis Mortality in 1936— A total of 1101 deaths from tuberculosis in Arizona in 1936 gave a mortality rate of 2649 per hundred thousand of population the highest registered rate in the state in the past three years according to Public Health News The greatest number of deaths from this cause in the last decade occurred in 1929 when there were 1471 deaths giving a rate based on estimated population at that time of 3458 per hundred thousand of population At present tuberculosis is the leading cause of death in the state comprising 17 per cent of the total mortality Of the 1101 deaths in 1936 there were 778 men
