Preparation of Ushaped curved holes by a casting

Abstract

A technique to prepare Ushaped curved holes by a direct casting method was introduced and Ushaped curved holes with a diameter of 2 mm with an aspect ratio of 35 were successfully prepared A formula was derived to estimate the diameter of the Ushaped curved holes which made the theoretical value in good agreement with the experimental result the relative error was 1
