Abstract
Pleuropulmonary involvement in Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia WM is relatively rare although autopsy series reported in literature show that the lung and pleura are often affected in this disease even in absence of related clinical symptoms 1 2We describe a 38yearold woman with WM who presented with pleural effusion endobronchial disease and lung involvement The clinical picture was characterized by severe dyspnea even without exertion but it was lacking in many of the other features common to this lymphoproliferative disorder namely anemia lymphadenopathy hepatosplenomegaly and blood hyperviscosity
