A new butanolide from the leaves of Emphasis Type

Abstract

A new butanolide isoreticulide 4R3E4hydroxy5methylene3octadecylidenedihydrofuran2one 1 along with nine compounds including one sesquiterpenoid 3methoxy5H911dioxabenzo34cyclohepta12finden7ylmethanol 2 six benzenoids phydroxybenzoic acid 3 phydroxybenzaldehyde 4 protocatechuic acid 5 ferulic acid 6 transmethyl pcoumarate 7 and pdihydrocoumaric acid 8 and two amides Ntransferuloyltyramine 9 and dihydroferuloyltyramine 10 were isolated from the leaves of Cinnamomum reticulatum Hayata Lauraceae These compounds were characterized and identified by physical and spectral evidence
