Abstract
The new highly oxidized chromene oxirapentyn E was isolated from marine isolate of the fungus Isaria felina DC Fr Its structure was established based on NMR spectroscopy highresolution mass spectrometry and convergent synthesis Oxirapentyn E at low and ultralow 10–5–10–17 M doses exhibited stimulating activity on the growth of corn Zea mays L and barley Hordeum vulgare L rootlets The dose–effect curves were bimodal in natureThe work was supported financially by the FarEast Branch Russian Academy of Sciences Grant 12IIIB05073 the RAS Presidium Molecular and Cellular Biology Program a grant of the RF President Project NSh54620124 and RFBR grants 110400772 and 120331406
