Abstract

P Armario R Hemández del Rey P Sánchez J Juliá G Torres LA Navarro G10 Cardiovascular reactivity to mental stress task and serum lipid levels in young mildly hypertensive subjects American Journal of Hypertension Volume 8 Issue 4 Pt 2 April 1995 Page 84A https//doiorg/101016/089570619597675HIn this study we examined the relationship between serum lipids levels and cardiovascular reactivity in 40 subjects aged 18–40 mean±SD31±7 65 males with mild hypertension SBP between 140–180 mmHg and or DBP 90–105 mmHg mean±SD147±8/94±6 mmHgAn ergometry and a mental arithmetic stress task MAT were performed in two different days Hyperreactive subjects were defined as an abolute value of blood pressure BP during ergometry 2200/100 mmHg or a BP change maximalbaseline during MAT ≥25 mmHg for systolic BP and/or ≥ 15 mmHg for diastolic BPNo significant differences were observed in the mean of lipid values between the hyperreactive and normoreactive subjects to ergometry or to MAT Ergometry total cholesterol 53 58 mmol/l HDL cholesterol 13 12 mmol/l triglycerides 12 09 mmol/l
