Abstract
Predictions for charm and beauty production in hadronhadron collisions are presented in the framework of the QuarkGluon String Model QGSM and of the Lund Model implemented via the PYTHIA algorithm in terms of total crosssections and inclusive spectra of charm and beauty mesons and baryons for different parton structure functions andKfactors The structure of events with and without heavyflavour production is also discussed The features of the two models are exhaustively investigated and compared with each other and with existing experimental data Predictions are given at the energies of present and future colliders
