Abstract

In local quantum field theories ultraviolet divergences may be avoided by admitting an indefinite metric in the quantummechanical state space The occurrence of negativenorm and zeronorm states ghost states in general leads to a violation of the unitarity of the physicalSmatrix In order to unitarize the theory in the physical subspace an appropriate procedure has to be employed which leads to the suppression of unphysical channels and as a consequence produces nonanalytic points at the thresholds of these channels which destroy the global analyticity of theSmatrix in thesplane If these nonanalytic points occur in the physical region they simulate nonlocal interactions which decrease with a certain power of the distance The nonlocal effects are strongest if anSwave 2particle ghost channel is suppressed and are less aggravating if they involve ghost channels with higher angular momentum and a larger number of particlesВ локальных квантовых теориях поля можно иэбежать ультрафи олетовых расходим остей благодаря введению индефинитной метрики в пространстве квантовомеха нических состояний Появление состояний с отрицательной и нулевой нормой состояния « духов » в обшем случае приводит к нарущению унитарности фиэическойSматрицы Чтобы унитариэовать теорию в фиэическом подпростра нстве должна быть испольэована соответству юшая процедура которая приводит к подавлению нефиэических каналов и как следствие рождает точки неаналитич ности на порогах зтих каналов которые нару щают глобальную аналитичностьSматрицы вsплоскости Если зти точки неаналитичн ости появляются в фиэической об ласти то они воспрои эводят нелокальные вэаимодействия которые убывают по степенному эакону с расстоянием Нелокальные зффекты окаэываются наиболее сильными еслиSволновой двухчастичный канал « духов » подавляется и окаэываются менее сушественными при включении каналов « духов » с больщим моментом и больщим числом частицNelle teorie quantistiche dei campi si possono evitare le divergenze ultraviolette ammettendo una matrice indefinita nello spazio degli stati quantomeccanico L’apparizione di stati di norma negativa e di norma nulla stati fantasma porta in generale ad una violazione dell’unitarietà della matriceS fisica Per rendere la teoria unitaria nel sottospazio fisico si deve adoperare una procedura appropriata che porta alla soppressione dei canali non fisici ed in conseguenza produce punti non analitici alle soglie di questi canali che distruggono l’analiticità globale della matriceS nel pianos Se questi punti non analitici compaiono nella regione fisica essi simulano interazioni non locali che decrescono secondo una certa potenza della distanza Gli effetti non locali sono molto forti se si sopprime un canale fantasma di 2 particelle d’ondaS e sono meno gravi se coinvolgono canali fantasma con maggiore impulso angolare ed un gran numero di particelle
