Mycetoma in the Sudan Associated with Streptomyces

Abstract

In a series of 200 mycetomas occurring in the Sudan on a histopathological basis four cases caused by Streptomyces madurae have been described This is the first report of this agent causing mycetoma in the Sudan The histopathological features of the organism are presented and it is believed that they permit the easy and definite diagnosis of this agent
