Abstract
Cholecystectomy is generally a safe procedure for acute cholecystitis although there may be complications as with any surgical procedure These may include external biliary fistula residual stones bile peritonitis wound infections and other cardiopulmonary problems 1 Hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm can be caused by trauma liver biopsy infection radiofrequency ablation therapy and post liver transplantation complications but cholecystectomyrelated pseudoaneurysm is rare 2 3 4 5 6 7 We report a case of hepatic subcapsular hematoma following cholecystectomy probably secondary to leakage from an intrahepatic pseudoaneurysmAn 81yearold man was admitted with abrupt onset of right upper quadrant pain that had begun 2 days earlier Associated symptoms and sign including nausea vomiting abdominal distention and teacolored urine A 3cm gallstone had been noted previously Physical examination revealed a temperature of 39°C and right upper quadrant
