A simple wet chemical route to synthesize ferromag

Abstract

NiFe2O4 nanoparticles were prepared by a simple and costeffective method using nickel nitrate ferric nitrate acetone and citric acid using oleic acid assisted sol–gel autocombustion method XRD confirmed the formation of singlephase nickel ferrite with space group Fd3m and inverse spinel structure and the crystallite size was found to be 28 nm HRSEM and TEM images showed spherical like nanoparticles The magnetic property of the sample was measured by using a room temperature vibrating sample magnetometer The magnetic saturation Ms = 478 emu g−1 remanent magnetization Mr = 10 emu g−1 and coercive force Hc = 23710 Oe were determined
