Abstract
A series of praseodymiumdoped BiB3O6 with Pr3+ content 1 at glass samples were prepared under conditions allowing their partial crystallization It is well known that in pure glasses the second order optical effects like second harmonic generation SHG are forbidden by symmetry however in the partially crystallized glasses during additional bicolor laser poling the SHG effects may be observed The degree of crystallinity was measured with XRD ranges from 0 purely amorphous glass to 811 Photoinduced SHG was found to be dependent on the degree of crystallinity and demonstrates maximum for DC around 5 Similar results versus the degree of the crystallinity were obtained for linear electrooptics effectThis research was supported by Balassi Intezet and Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education Grant 0204/IP3/2013/72 This work was partially supported by the Polish Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education Key Project POIG 01030114016/08 “New Photonic Materials and their Advanced Applications”
