Abstract
The lowtemperature sintering behavior of Ba085Ca015Zr010Ti090O3 BCZT piezoelectric ceramics with BaCu05W05O3 BCW addition has been investigated The addition of 01 wt BCW promotes the sinterability of BCZT ceramics owing to the generation of a liquid phase resulting in a reduction of sintering temperature from 1540 to 1350 °C The piezoelectric coefficient d 33 and the electromechanical coupling factor kp of the BCZT − 01 wtBCW specimen sintered at 1350 °C were 555 pC/N and 55 respectively while Curie temperature Tc increases from 85 to 95 °CThis work was supported by the programs from the National Nature Science Foundation of China No 51102056 and Guangxi Nature Science Foundations of China No 2010GXNSFD013007 2011GXNSFB018008 and Program for Excellent Talents in Guangxi Higher Education Institutions and Research Program of Guangxi Education Department 201012MS085
